Croeso i ddosbarth 5/6J.

This term, our theme is Magic and Myths and we’re enjoying our class book ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.’ We’ve enjoyed lots of different activities relating to our text, including two forest school mornings.

In our art lessons, we have been looking at portraits, inspired by the artwork in the book ‘Mythologica’. We’ve explored the work of artists including Picasso and Sandra Silberzweig and created our own digital artwork and mixed media portraits. Take a look!

A Midsummer Night’s Dream Autumn 2019

This term, we have had a fantastic time learning all about life in the time of The Tudors and the plays of William Shakespeare. Macbeth Hydref 2019

This term, we have enjoyed studying Macbeth by William Shakespeare. Our artwork is inspired by John Piper, an artist who has painted local and Welsh castles such as Harlech and Ludlow. We have written fantastic descriptive passages about Macbeth’s meeting with the Witches. Da iawn pawb!

 

Worship Medi/September 2019

KS2 have had a fantastic day exploring worship in different faiths. We explored the beliefs of people who follow Christianity, Hinduism and Islam and considered the challenges they may face when they worship. Da iawn pawb!

We have had a fantastic start to the new school year with our mini project on ‘The Witches’ by Roald Dahl. We have used our creative, literacy, numeracy and digital skills to produce lots of fantastic work, including poems inspired by William Shakespeare and models of The Hotel Magnificent. Da iawn pawb!
