Well done to our netball and football teams who represented the school at the annual Mitchell Hamer tournament.

Our clubs and groups have begun for the Autumn term. Here we are enjoying after school football!

Our Bronze Ambassadors are doing a fantastic job running a lunchtime cricket club. Da iawn!

We managed to dodge the showers and enjoy a fantastic afternoon of junior sports! The winning team were Warden (red) – llongyfarchiadau i pawb!

This term, we’ve celebrated the success of our football and netball teams, who both reached the semi-finals of the Brook and Border tournament.

Our sports teams have been very busy this term!

We had a brilliant day at Radnor Valley for the annual Brook and Border Tournament. Congratulations to everyone who took part, particularly to our football and netball teams which reached the semi-finals.

We also had a very successful afternoon at Bedstone cross-country with many podium finishes.

On 19th May, two football teams and a netball team travelled to Kington to take part in the annual

Mitchell-Hamer Tournament. All of our teams played well in some terrible weather conditions. Our Year Five

football team were undefeated through the group stages and were narrowly beaten in the final. Dai iawn to all those

who took part!

On Friday 4th July pupils from Year 4, 5 and 6 participated in a hockey festival in Llandrindod Wells.

The children had opportunities to take part in drills and games before playing mini ‘league’ matches.

Presteigne played excellently and returned unbeaten with 5 wins and 3 draws. Da iawn pawb!

Tag Rugby training will take place on a Thursday from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. The school is very lucky to have

a qualified coach from Luctonians Rugby Club leading the sessions. If you would like to attend Tag Rugby

JUNE 2014      CLWB SPORT Day at East Radnorshire Leisure Centre

The children in Years 5 and 6 participated in a sports taster day. Activities included karate, gymnastics and tag rugby.
