Our Tudor Theme Day!
We enjoyed dressing up as Tudors/Princes/Princesses for the day and taking part in different activities.
Here we are dressed up!
We enjoyed cooking Tudor biscuits. We ate them at our Tudor banquet and enjoyed them with our glass of “wine”.
After our banquet we performed our Tudor dance that we had learnt earlier in the day.
We also played Tudor games.
We all had a fantastic day!

Ludlow Castle trip 19th October 2016
We enjoyed visiting Ludlow Castle yesterday to learn about life during the Tudor times.
Whilst at the castle we met an actual Tudor Lady who took us around the castle and shared lots of information about the castle with us.
We learnt about how the Tudors changed parts of the castle, explored different rooms in the castle, learnt about the features of the castle and found out about some of the different jobs people did during Tudor times.
What a fantastic time we had!

Our topic this term is……Land Ahoy!!!!!
Our topic this term is ‘Incredible Inventions’.
We’ve had great fun investigating life during the time of the Victorians and finding out about important inventors and scientists.
Take a look at some of the things we’ve been getting up to…
We’ve been exploring the nonsense poem ‘Jabberwocky’ by Lewis Carroll. We wrote our own poetry based on the original, and had great fun creating our own nonsense vocabulary.
As part of our study of life in the time of the Victorians, we investigated a ‘Victorian crime scene’. We used a range of literacy and numeracy skills to identify ‘whodunnit’!
